TD Songs of Summer Music & Art in Downtown Oakville Announces Lineup with The Trews Acoustic Show headlining the day!
TD Songs of Summer Music & Art is a boutique festival in its inaugural year coming to Downtown Oakville on Saturday, August 19, 2017. It is a celebration of the community and the cultural arts that are near and dear to residents. The festival will feature multiple genres of music, delicious food and drink, visual art displays, performance art and crafts.
The festival’s musical programing with be headlined by The Trews Acoustic Show on the TD Towne Square Stage. The Trews are a Canadian rock band from the east coast currently based in Toronto. They will be playing a selection of their ‘best loved’ songs from their 12 year career acoustically.
“TD Songs of Summer Music & Art was created for everyone in the community to experience and enjoy together with each other,” said Susan Johnston, Executive Director of the Downtown Oakville BIA. “We are very lucky to be part of a community that values cultural arts. The festival is highlighting and celebrating those values and we can’t wait for the community to experience the event!”
The festival is a free one-day event from 10 a.m. until 11 p.m. The event will have six stages, with over 40 performances, plus multiple interactive art zones throughout the downtown on Saturday, August 19, 2017. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
TD Songs of Summer Music & Art is organized by the Downtown Oakville Business Improvement Area and brought to you by the merchants and businesses of Downtown Oakville. Additional event information will be announced at www.oakvilledowntown.com.
