If you’re looking to get a head start on your summer tan, Downtown Oakville’s newest spray tan studio offers a vegan, paraben-free, organic solution for those who want to give their skin a little TLC in addition to an enviable golden glow.
Owner Pearce Tibbles was inspired to start Tint Spray Tan when he was living in Boston last year. “There were a couple really interesting places that had these healthy, UV-free alternatives to tanning beds so upon returning to Canada I started doing some research and found the best suppliers to create Tint Spray Tan. All of our solutions are vegan and paraben-free with lots of organic ingredients, so they’re really good for your skin and a healthy alternative to cancer-causing tanning beds. Best of all, they look completely natural – long gone are the days of orange spray tans. All of our tans are guaranteed to give you a streak-free, natural golden-brown glow!”
When it came to selecting a location for his flagship store, Pearce immediately thought of Downtown Oakville. “Growing up in Oakville, I always loved visiting Downtown,” he says, citing the area’s steady foot traffic, community atmosphere and vibrancy as key reasons for setting up shop here. It also doesn’t hurt to be located in the same building as The King’s Arms, a popular summer spot with a patio.
The studio, which opened in March, offers three different services: the Original Tint, which sets within 10 to 12 hours; the Rejuvenating Tint, which includes a powerful blend of organic moisturizers, vitamins and anti-aging antioxidants, making it a skincare product as much as it is a tanning product; and, for busy people on the go, the Express Tint, which sets more quickly so you can shower within one to three hours after the service.
Within those three options, customers can choose to go lighter or darker depending on their skin tone, making it a fully customizable service. “Our Tint Spray Tan Artist will look at a client’s unique skin tone and preference for how light or dark they want to go and match the solution specifically for them,” says Pearce.
Pearce is so confident in the quality of the product that he’s offering a $50 gift card (the price of an Original Tint) to first-time clients so they can test it out for free. “We stand behind the product and service that much; we know people will love it and come back for more.” To grab one of these gift cards, visit one of Tint’s local partners Dollface or Inside Story Lingerie. Tint staff will also be handing them out on the streets of Downtown Oakville over the coming weekends. If you missed your chance to get one, just email firstname.lastname@example.org.
