A Guide to Downtown Oakville Two-way Street Conversions

As Downtown Oakville construction quickly approaches, the city prepares itself with the reconstruction of the many one-way streets.
The conversion of Downtown Oakville’s one-way streets is a vital component in ensuring to keep the pedestrian flow steady throughout these exciting and transformative years to come. In addition to one-way conversations, we will also be greeted in spring 2019 by a reconstruction of the Municipal Lot 5, located on the south side of Robison Street at Dunn Street. This reconstruction makes sure the community has a well maintained and affordable place to park, furthering ensuring that flow within the downtown core remains consistent.

The streets that have been converted to a two-way street are as listed:
• Thomas street, Dunn street, George Street
Two-way conversion from Randall Street to Lakeshore Road includes new signage and pavement markings.
• Church Street
Two-way conversion and resurfacing from Navy Street to Allen Street to Douglas Street includes asphalt grinding, new pavement, signage and markings
• Randal Street
To-way conversion and resurfacing from Navy street to Douglas Street includes asphalt grinding, new pavement, signage and markings
• Navy Street, Dunn Street, George Street
