Cathryn obtained her Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University, and her law degree from the University of Western Ontario. She was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1996. She has worked in the employment sector and in family law.
Cathryn’s practice is currently focused on mediation and collaborative family law. She is certified with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation and is collaboratively trained. She also has considerable experience working with children of divorce as an agent with the Office of the Children’s Lawyer.
By combining creative and positive communication techniques with her knowledge of the law and legal process, Cathryn helps parties solve their own problems and reach lasting agreements.
In addition, when specific expertise is required, Cathryn has a network of professionals to whom she can refer participants. Often by obtaining expert opinions or assistance, the parties are able to move forward productively.
