In 1954, a group of visionary REALTORS®, with a goal to serving the buying and selling public more effectively, founded The Oakville, Trafalgar Real Estate Board, as it was then known. Over the last 60 years the Board has seen many changes since its inception. Beginning with the Photo Co-Op Listing System, a revolutionary tool created to market property to the public through the cooperative effort of all Realtor members, the industry and the Board continued to evolve, creating the most effective marketing tool available today, the Multiple Listing Service (MLS®). By 2004, advances in technology and computer systems have allowed REALTORS® to utilize tools such as interior photography, virtual tours, the Internet, and smart phones. Coupled with networking opportunities with other Real Estate Boards, the almost 1,500 members of The Oakville Milton and District Real Estate Board are able to offer today’s sellers and buyers access to Real Estate Markets across the country and throughout the world.
The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board remains dedicated to offering progressive and innovative industry technology to its Members so that they may provide the best possible service to their buyers and sellers. We provide the resources necessary to bring local REALTORS® and their clients together.
