DETAILS:
Established in Oakville in 1993, located in the heart of Downtown Oakville, Paradiso offers much more than a place to have an exquisite meal. The warm, intimate atmosphere flows throughout the restaurants, but the heart of Paradiso can be found in the open concept kitchen.
The cuisine which draws inspiration for the European Mediterranean is prepared before your eyes and it’s easy to see why “Dinner IS The Show” keeps guests coming back again and again. Meredith Read, General Manager at Paradiso Oakville admits that the chefs’ tables closest to the kitchen are always the most sought after.
Executive Chef, Adam Mackay changes the menu twice a year and draws inspiration from culinary trends in industry, but Read explains that he puts his own personal, spin on the food and uses local products and seasonal produce whenever possible.
“We offer amazing food and wine, while trying to create a unique experience for our guests,” explains Read, but it goes far beyond a simple destination for dinner. Paradiso offers innovative entertaining concepts for corporate team building events, winemaker’s dinners, and weekly recreational hands-on cooking classes in the Cooking Studio.
The one-of-a-kind winemaker’s dinners offer guests carefully selected wines from around the world, but Paradiso proudly showcases local wineries including: Vineland, Flat Rock, Reif, Sokol Blosser,, Tawse, Creekside and Wayne Gretzky. A representative from the winery, either the proprietor or winemaker also attends the dinner to enlighten guests about the wines that have been selected. Chef Adam Mackay carefully creates a menu to compliment each wine and its unique characteristics. Guests needn’t be concerned if they’re not wine connoisseurs, delectable food, delicious wine, a warm atmosphere and great company make for an evening to remember.
The interactive cooking classes at Paradiso cater to individuals and groups, and Read admits these popular classes book up very quickly. The recreational classes are inspired by Mediterranean regions such as Italy, Greece, Spain and France. The Cooking Studio also offers classes for those who want to hone their skills. The most popular class is the Signature Dishes of Paradiso. Offered twice a week starting in September to November, and again from January to May, groups work directly with chefs to learn culinary skills, techniques, and recipes.
The culinary team building classes promote collaboration and communication between team members. Co-workers enjoy a unique and rewarding hands-on cooking experience that nurtures teamwork and leadership.
The success of Paradiso can be contributed to offering guests an outstanding experience by offering them high-quality food and wine with personalized service and unique atmosphere.
