How and why did you decide to pursue your business?
It's been my dream to startup my own business ever since I moved to Canada. It has taken 8 years of hard work, saving money along the way by working in 4 different full-time gigs to get here. Both my parents were entrepreneurs and they always told me to do something you enjoy and brings you happiness. Why vegan business? There's a misconception out there that vegan food products don't taste great, and so, I always wanted to bring delicious and addictive vegan products to people who can really enjoy the great taste that vegan options has to offer.
What are you most passionate about in your business?
We are so passionate about the quality, options and products that we have to offer for customers. In addition to the delicious and addicting cinnamon rolls, our bakery is quite socially responsible. Once people find out that we are vegan and lactose-free, they're hooked!
What do you LOVE about Downtown Oakville?
There's one word that comes to my mind when I think about Downtown Oakville - BEAUTIFUL. Not all places give you a calm and relaxed environment like Downtown Oakville. It reminds me of Mahone Bay in Nova Scotia which was the first place I fell in love with when I first arrived in Canada. We chose Downtown Oakville not to just run our business, it just felt like Home!
Tell us something about yourself that might surprise others.
A lot of people think I'm young and college goer :) But, I'm 33 years old and have two sons who are turning 7 and 2 this summer.
