This year, International Women’s Day is Tuesday, March 8. International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality.

The 2022 campaign theme is #BreakTheBias. This year’s theme challenges us to imagine a gender equal world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.

Downtown Oakville is home to many female entrepreneurs and managers who own and operate successful businesses in the community. Long gone are the days that only men could be seen as successful business owners. There are countless women in Oakville who #BreakTheBias each and every day doing what they love the most. In honour of International Women’s Day, join us in celebrating their achievements as we highlight just a few of the many great female business owners who call Downtown Oakville home.
